2017 Guat's UP

Join us in raising money for the 2017 Summer Missions to Guatemala!  Students will experience life as a Guatemalan for 24 hours!  As students fund raise throughout the day, they will participate in a Water Walk, Tortilla Making Contest, Business Planning, Fire Building Contest, and sleep in tents/shelters outside to understand a few difficulties Guatemalans face each day.  The funds that students raise will be used to build homes for families in need, purchase water filters for clean drinking water, build bunk beds to get families off dirt floors, provide stoves for cooking, purchase food for the malnourished, and to start small businesses to change lives. Donate today!

Thank you Sharon Baptist Church!  We appreciate your help to raise the funds for the 2017 Guatemala Mission projects!

Water Walk

Students participate in a Water Walk to raise money and awareness for those in Guatemala who do not have clean drinking water.  The students walk a couple of miles with a 5 gallon bucket of water!  The team with the most water left in the bucket at the end wins! The water filters will be delivered to families in need this summer by student teams.

Tortilla Making Contest

Many indigenous Guatemalans suffer from extreme malnutrition.  They mostly survive on tortillas, salt, and coffee.  The students experience only some of the difficulties making homemade corn tortillas.  The 2016 Guatemala teams will provide food for families in need.  Help us feed the malnourished by donating today!

Fire Building Contest

Many Guatemalans have to cook over a fire or  a wood burning stove!  The wood burning stoves sometimes causes great health concerns because their homes fill with smoke.  The students are raising money to build homes in Guatemala, and with the home the families will receive a stove that will help them cook without the concern of smoke.  Donate and help today!
